GoPro Mountain Games Searching for the “Ultimate Mountain Dog”

The GoPro Mountains Games, the country’s largest celebration of athletes, music, art and mountain lifestyle, is also one of the most canine friendly festivals of the summer. The Vail Valley Foundation, organizers of the annual event, are searching for the Ultimate Mountain Dog via a social media contest that will reward the winner with a year’s supply of dog food courtesy of Eukanuba.
“We have a rich tradition of celebrating the relationship between GoPro Mountain Games attendees and their canine companions,” says Mike Imhof, Senior Vice President of Sales & Operations for the Vail Valley Foundation. “With the search for the Ultimate Mountain Dog we want to showcase all the dogs that help make the mountain lifestyle and culture what it is.”
To enter the Ultimate Mountain Dog contest simply upload a photo of your dog enjoying a mountain adventure of any kind and share it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #UltimateMtnDog. All submissions will be featured in a gallery on the GoPro Mountain Games website and Facebook page. The public will vote for their top five favorite submissions, from which the winner will be picked.
The winning dog will be named the 2014 GoPro Mountain Games Ultimate Mountain Dog and will receive a year’s supply of Eukanuba dog food, free entry to all canine friendly events at this summer’s games, a GoPro HERO3+, Gerber Freescape Knife, Osprey REV 12 technical trail running pack, Eddie Bauer gift card, pair of Native Eyewear sunglasses, Dublin Dog accessories and Jaybird Sport Bluebuds X wireless Bluetooth headphones.
At the Mountain Games, pro and amateur canine athletes can compete in the Eukanuba DockDogs Speed Retrieve, Big Air and Extreme Vertical competitions. Dogs and their owners can also compete together in the Eukanuba Rocky Dog Trail Run or the Eddie Bauer BADASS DASH’s canine obstacle course.
