ESSEX JUNCTION, VT – September 5, 2017
ESSEX JUNCTION, VT — Gordini USA is excited to announce continued partnership with Lynsey Dyer and Julian Carr.
“Lynsey and Julian’s passion for the mountains is infectious. Not only are they two of the best skiers in the world, their tireless dedication to empowering skiers and riders to get out and enjoy the mountains is what we are all about at Gordini,” said Stefan Bumbeck, Gordini’s Design and Marketing Director. “We look forward to another year of adventure with Lynsey and Julian.”
With a professional career that has spanned a decade, Dyer’s passion for finding her own line has taken her and her skis to 6 continents. She can be found ripping big mountain lines in films from Teton Gravity Research, Warren Miller, Sherpa’s Cinema and more. Throughout her career, she claimed a number of awards including Powder Magazine’s Female Skier of the Year. Dyer cemented her place as one of the best big mountain skiers in the world after winning nearly every available competition. Her groundbreaking work with the grassroots organizations, Unicorn Picnic and She Jumps has inspired young women and girls all over the world to pursue their dreams and take on new challenges.
“With poor circulation and past cases of frostbite, warm and dry hands are critical for me to accomplish my goals in the mountains. Gordini Gloves are the only gloves I have found that keep my hands warm and dry no matter the conditions,” said Lynsey Dyer. “I look forward to another year of venturing into the mountains powered by my Gordini gloves and goggles.”
Julian Carr takes skiing to new heights. His record breaking drops have shifted how viewers measure athlete cliff drops from tens of feet to hundreds of feet. Carr holds two world records in cliff height ski drops. His innovative and playful style landed him feature roles in seven Warren Miller films, Photo of the Year awards from Powder Magazine, the prestigious Sickbird Award on the Freeskiing World Tour. When not skiing, Carr serves as an ambassador for Protect Our Winters (POW) as well as The Climate Reality Project.
“Avalanches, exposed terrain, rapidly changing weather – when I’m in the mountains, the last thing I need to be worrying about is cold and wet hands. The Gordini Empyrean line of gloves offers the warmth and durability I need to enjoy endless pow days in the mountains,” said Julian Carr. “I look forward to another year setting new records and exploring new peaks with Gordini.”
