ELKTON, Md., Nov. 3 — This fall, the spotlight is on staying protected, comfortable and dry on cold days. GORE-TEX(R) and WINDSTOPPER(R) products present the “Know What’s Inside” Tour which is embarking on a cross-country adventure designed to educate outdoor enthusiasts about what’s inside GORE-TEX(R) and WINDSTOPPER(R) garments that makes them so unique. The mobile test chamber features a GORE Extreme Weather Chamber where visitors are invited to step inside and personally test the GORE-TEX(R) Guaranteed To Keep You Dry(R) promise. The weather chamber allows participants to dial up their own weather and choose from a wide range of weather conditions while wearing GORE-TEX(R) outerwear.

“All of the interactive demonstrations are part of a ‘please touch’ environment that lends to making learning fun, while bringing the product benefits to life and showing how Gore products are tested for durability”, says Steve Shuster, Global Brand Manager at Gore.

Other interactive elements on tour include an Evidence Communication Station where various demonstrations will showcase windproofness, waterproofness and moisture vapor transfer, or breathability.

Dedicated to keeping people protected in the outdoors, W. L. Gore & Associates has partnered with One Warm Coat(R) to help support local communities by hosting coat drives throughout North America. The “Know What’s Inside” campaign asks consumers to look at what’s inside their closets and bring gently used outerwear to the “Know What’s Inside” Tour stops. All donated outerwear is never resold and is distributed to children and adults in the local community who are in need of a jacket, gloves, hat or footwear. Gore and One Warm Coat encourage consumers to share what’s inside their hearts and make a donation when the tour stops in their city.
