WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIF. (October 26, 2006) – Continuing to make strides in its plan to turn around the brand, Gramicci announced today that its Fall ’06 line was completely sold out and it is hiring four new sales reps to help sustain this momentum. Gramicci, one of the original “soul brands” of the outdoor industry, launched a complete branding effort at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market last August under the management team lead by apparel veteran and president, Marty Weening.

“Our hard work is paying off,” said Weening. “This is a solid indication that our strategy is working – a decisive plan that involves staying true to outdoor consumers that have been with Gramicci since the beginning, reaching out to the next generation of customers and offering a clear point of difference. We are seeing old friends returning to the brand, while new retailers are recognizing that Gramicci can help increase their bottom line. We have similar momentum with the Spring ’07 line, validating our significant expansion of the women’s line and the broadening of men’s products. We will continue to infuse our passion for Gramicci into our designs and will do our utmost to preserve the integrity of what this icon has come to represent.”

Since the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, Gramicci has opened 35 new doors on the east coast; opened 30 new doors on the west coast; and reopened 17 of the dealers in the east that carried the line and 28 in the west that were previously customers.

David Vietze, who has more than 13 years of outside sales experience in the consumer products, technology and the outdoor industry, has joined Gramicci as the New England rep covering Conn.; R.I.; Mass.; Maine, Vt. and N.H. Prior to joining Gramicci, Vietze was involved in the sales launch of Keen Footwear, where he managed the southern New England territory. He lives in Connecticut.

Jared Levine will join Gramicci as southern California coastal rep. After spending four years as the men’s buyer for a premium boutique in Los Angeles, Levine opened his own one-stop shopping showroom, JML Showroom, in Los Angeles, featuring established brands that increase the crossover between the contemporary market and action sports industry.

In the southeastern region Nan Hanks & Associates, Inc., located in Woodstock, Ga., has signed on to cover the following territories: N.C.; S.C.; Tenn.; Ga., and Ala. The sales company has over 22 years of industry experience in the outdoor and fashion markets.

Sarah Deziel will join Gramicci as an in-house rep covering the upper Midwest including the following states: Ill.; Wis.; Minn.; N.D.; S.D.; Iowa; Neb.; and Mo. Prior to joining Gramicci, Deziel was a sales rep at DH Enterprises, located in Sioux Falls, S.D., where she handled the Horny Toad account, among others. She was also a technical rep for Merrell Footwear.
