Asheville, N.C. (August 27, 2015) — Grassroots Outdoor Alliance, an organization of 55 innovative specialty outdoor retailers across the US, is pleased to announce new vendor partners: Hydro Flask and Sport Hansa.

The Grassroots Outdoor Alliance brings together independent outdoor retailers from across the country, allowing members to tap into an extensive network of knowledge and resources. Independent outdoor retailers are not just stores; they are important members of their local communities and help to shape and promote outdoor culture in the surrounding region. As vendor partners, Hydro Flask and Sport Hansa are supporting independent retailers and reaching customers at a hometown level.

Hydro Flask combines the world’s highest quality materials with ingenious engineering to create the best hot and cold insulated bottles on the market. Founded in Bend, Oregon, Hydro Flask maintains its local roots despite tremendous success and growth.

“The Grassroots Outdoor Alliance promotes community values and commitment to quality,” said Tim Rouillard, vice president of outdoor sales at Hydro Flask. “We share those values at Hydro Flask and are excited to sign on as vendor partners.”

Sport Hansa is a collection of niche, European product lines that are distinguished by high-level craftsmanship and fastidious attention to detail.

“Partnering with the specialty retailers of the Grassroots Outdoor Alliance is a perfect way for Sport Hansa to deliver handmade Scandinavian tools to customers who seek items that are steeped in craftsmanship, utility and tradition” said Matt Huff, managing director of Sport Hansa. “Our product lines are made by craftspeople whose heritage commenced in 1697, 1880, and 1932 for Hults Bruk, Wetterlings and Helle respectively. There is a growing set of U.S. consumers who seek out items that they can study, contemplate and develop a true bond with but that they can also put through the paces.”
