Stratham, NH, January 19, 2009 – The Timberland Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Gregg Duffy as Senior Director of Performance Footwear. In this role, Duffy is responsible for the overall management of Timberland’s global performance footwear portfolio, including multi-sport, hiking and seasonal offerings. He reports to Brian Moore, Global Vice President of Men’s Footwear and Outdoor Performance for Timberland.

Duffy has more than 17 years experience in the performance footwear industry, having held senior positions in product design and management for such brands as Puma, Saucony, Burton-Gravis and most recently, Merrell.

“Gregg makes a great addition to the Timberland Outdoor Performance team,” said Brian Moore, Global Vice President of Men’s Footwear and Outdoor Performance for Timberland. “He has a real passion for product design, and an innate understanding of the performance market and the consumer we’re looking to serve. His experience will be invaluable as we continue to build our performance portfolio, especially in the areas of hiking and multi-sport.”

Duffy joined Timberland just after the New Year, and will be attending the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City on behalf of the brand later this week.
