Gregory, the world’s leading pack maker for over 35 years, will celebrate “The Trail” at the annual Trail Days event in Damascus, Virginia later this week. Long a supporter of the Appalachian Trail, the organizations that maintain it, and the characters that hike it, Gregory will again maintain a presence at the event by repairing backpacks and providing tips on proper pack fit. Gregory’s well-known and gregarious founder, Wayne Gregory, will be present to greet hikers and perform personalized pack-fitting demos.

“Trail Days is a wonderful community event that celebrates the Appalachian Trail and those who love it,” says Andy Yorkin, marketing manager at Gregory. “All trails are part of our DNA and those memorable trail experiences are what define us as a company. It makes sense for Gregory to support the one of best known trails of North America.”
Gregory representatives will be available during all three days of the event and hikers can stop by for pack repair, a pack fitting, or just to chat. Hikers can also enter a drawing for a chance to win their own Contour or Cairn (male/female) backpack, new for 2013. Wayne Gregory will also be on hand to personally fit packs, sign autographs and swap stories about days on the trail.
For 2013, Trail Days runs from May 17-19 in Damascus, Virginia. Highlighted by the Hiker Parade, the Hiker Talent Show, and live music throughout the weekend, event organizers expect thousands of hikers and supporters to attend. For more information, visit: traildays.us.
