At the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market next month, Gregory will introduce the largest collection of new products in the brand’s 35 year history. For Spring 2014, Gregory will unveil 28 new packs, including updates to the brand’s popular Z and J backpacks, new active trail packs for runners, cyclists and hikers, and new backpacks and messenger bags for commuters and modern daily use.

“Spring ’14 is the most complete and well-rounded product selection we have ever offered,” states John Sears, director of product development at Gregory. “We thought long and hard before deciding to change some of our best-selling packs. We’ve made substantial improvements and we’re confident that our customers will appreciate the time and thought that went into the line. ”
For Spring 2014, Gregory designers overhauled the award-winning Z and J series of backpacks. Renowned for its lightweight yet technically featured design, Z packs for men and J packs for women now use a totally breathable backpanel, shoulder harness and waist belt as well as a more sculpted, modern profile. The pack materials have been updated with lightweight, yet durable fabrics so each pack is up to 30 percent lighter than the previous generation. All Z and J packs feature Gregory’s proprietary CrossFlo™ Suspension that auto-balances flexibility and stiffness as the load increases. The Z packs range from 65 liters for extended multi-day backpacking trips to 25 liters, ideal for day hikes. The J packs start at 63 liters and scale to 23 liters.

In Gregory’s Active Trail category, the men’s Miwok and the women’s Maya packs all received revisions. The updated Miwok and Maya packs have new, streamlined designs with active suspension that hugs the body and remains stable for hiking, cycling and multi-use day excursions. The packs all have easy hydration access, a moisture-wicking harness, waist belt and backpanel and multi-use features. High-quality touches include expandable storage, sunglasses stash, safety light lash, quick hook closures, side compression, helmet carry and jacket bungee. The Miwok is offered in a 44, 34, 24, 18, 12 and 6-liter versions. The Maya comes in 42L, 32L, 22L, 16L, 10L and 5L.

Lastly, stylish commuter meets functional outdoor enthusiast in the Compass, Graph and Sketch everyday packs, all built with ultra-durable 420D nylon and 840D ballistic materials. The all-new Compass 40L and 30L are crossover bags with a unique duffle functionality and backpack carry. The Compass has an external padded laptop compartment, large luggage-style access and a bottom compartment to separate shoes (40L). In the Sketch series of commuter shoulder bags, Gregory added a new 8-liter version with a single sling strap, perfect to carry your tablet and other essentials needed for cruising around town. The Graph 10L is a new, fully functional messenger bag with capacity for smaller electronics and daily necessities.
