GSI Outdoors, a leading supplier of outdoor cooking and dining products, has accepting a prestigious Editor’s Choice Award for their Dualist Cook System from the German version of Outdoor Europe, an upscale adventure trade magazine that will have a U.S. version starting in May. The Dualist is one of only 15 products to receive the award. The Editor’s Choice Awards are given out once a year in recognition of outstanding innovation in design, materials, and performance.
The Dualist Cookset is part of the GSI Outdoors’ collection of nesting cook and tableware systems that takes the guesswork and hassle out of planning for cooking and dining needs in the backcountry or at the campground. They are designed and well thought out for specific needs, number of users, and especially packability. The defining benefit of the nFORM systems is that they are compact and all-inclusive.
The ultralight Pinnacle Dualist with Radiance coating is for when a partner is along and when simple meals are mostly the food of choice. The system integrates a 1.8-liter pot, a transparent BPA-free lid with integrated strainer and a convenient folding handle that locks into place for cooking and secures the set for transport. Two Infinityâ„¢ color-coded bowl/mug combinations and two telescoping foons nest inside the pot, leaving enough room for a stove and fuel canister. The unconventionally-shaped, insulated mug has a low profile and low center of gravity to prevent spills, even when set on uneven ground or a tent floor. The system comes with a stove bag and is packaged in a welded stuff sack that doubles as a sink or wash basin.
GSI Outdoors is in the business of making cookware and dining products that adapt the comforts of home to active outdoor lifestyles at the campsite, base camp and anywhere in between. In 1985, brothers Don and Ian Scott and sister Kathy started the company in San Diego and then moved to Spokane, Washington in 1995, where they have been ever since. In 2001, GSI Outdoors started distributing outdoor related gifts under the name of Outside Inside. What began as a small distribution company selling blue enamel tableware has expanded into the design, manufacturing, sales and marketing of an innovative array of outdoor cookware and a whole range of eating and drinking products that are technical, innovative and fun. GSI Outdoors products are distributed worldwide.
