PORTLAND, OR – Green Theme International (GTI), the creators of sustainable and water-free textile technologies—poised to transform the garment industry worldwide—recently announced its participation at the Planet Textiles 2018 Sustainable Summit on May 22 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre in Vancouver, Canada. GTI will be featured as a “real world example” of technologies that are helping to minimize water and chemical use in textile processing.
The summit is co-hosted by MCL News & Media, publishers of Eco Textile News and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition. These mission-aligned businesses and organizations will bring together business trailblazers in the sustainable textile industry from North America, Europe and Asia to share and implement radical new environmental initiatives and business models in the textile supply chain.
GTI’s Founder and Chairman, Dr. Gary Selwyn, will be prominently featured in the summit’s afternoon breakout session titled, “Harmonization of wastewater discharge: Scaling up innovation in the textile processing sector relating to innovation and transparency.” In addition, Michael Schragger, CEO of The Sustainable Fashion Academy, will interview Dr. Selwyn.
During the one-day summit, GTI will given a platform to submit it’s own innovative, compelling and entirely new manufacturing ideas with its real world business experience.
“GTI is pioneering water-free textile finishing which entirely eliminates water and harmful chemicals from the process—and has a zero waste stream,” explains GTI’s President, Martin Flora. “To achieve this simple goal requires rethinking traditional processes and implementing new technologies,” adds Flora who will be attending the summit with the GTI team.
