Nevada City, CA, January 21, 2010 –A Northern California Guy has decided to skip Outdoor Retailer Winter Market this year. Shattering trends and bucking tradition, The Guy will spend Thursday and Friday at his office. Then probably go to the post office, microwave some leftovers for lunch, check his email, and get back to work on the stuff he’s working on.

In the middle of a grant writing project, The Guy will likely spend little time thinking about technical fabrics made from sustainable sources, and no time mulling whether to go to the Teva party or just go back to the hotel and watch TV while lying in his bed.

He will not dine at any restaurants with “Iguana” in their name, nor drink watered down beer at any time during the next few days.

Reached for a comment, The Guy was asked if he was making a statement about the trade show or engaging in an effort to reduce his carbon footprint. He replied, “No. I just have some stuff to do. Besides I think I’ll go skiing this weekend.” Pressed for more information he conceded that he might get his oil changed and would definitely pick up the mail. Guy may even take his dog for a walk “once it stops raining”.

The Guy likes to go outside when he is not at OR (see photo).

Updates as to The Guy’s activities may be posted in the coming days, but there will be no tweets.
