Guyot Designs, Inc., a leading innovator in outdoor accessories products, announces a special opportunity to purchase their newest product, the TapGuard™, at a discounted rate of $10 during the upcoming Winter Outdoor Retailer trade show. All proceeds generated from the sale will be donated to the Conservation Alliance, an organization that is dedicated to supporting grassroots environmental organizations and their causes. To celebrate the occasion, Guyot Designs will be hosting a “Save the Water, Drink the Wine” party at their booth, 28017, on Thursday, January 22th, from 4-6pm. A member of the Conservation Alliance will be present to help kick off the promotion. Famous winemakers, Redwood Creek, are contributing to fundraising efforts by donating wine for the party.

The TapGuard, is the first of its kind water bottle companion that significantly reduces the amount of chlorine and other chemicals that give tap water that unpleasant taste. It provides continuous bottled water taste without having to purchase a bottle of water every time. “The TapGuard was inspired by a desire to keep plastic out of landfills,” notes Guyot Designs’ president, Sloan Russell. “Our hope is that people can use the TapGuard and an eco-friendly reusable wide mouth instead of buying a one-use plastic water bottle that may or may not get recycled.”

“We want this promotion to increase awareness of the TapGuard,” claims Russell,” but more importantly we want to make the statement that even though our economy is struggling we cannot forget important environmental concerns and those organizations that work hard to protect and conserve it.” The Conservation Alliance works with outdoor businesses to protect wild places where outdoor enthusiasts recreate.

The TapGuard hit store shelves last month and is listed with a MSRP of $14.95. With a lightweight silicone body, it comes standard with two replaceable activated carbon cartridges, each designed to work on at least 100 liters of water. The TapGuard also carries 50lbs of carbon emissions offsets and is part of Guyot Design’s C-minus program.

Stop by Guyot Designs’ booth 28017 to purchase a TapGuard, to gain more information about their C-minus carbon offsets program or to see their complete line of products including their award winning Squishy Bowls, soon to be released Squishy Bowl for Pets, and collection stainless steel water bottles.
