BERKELEY, Calif. (January 18, 2012) – Haiku, creator of poetically functional accessories for women, expands its line of environmentally conscious, unique and versatile bags for Fall 2012 with the addition of a new bicycle friendly tote, a sophisticated overnight bag and a mighty yet compact sling. These three new pieces will debut along side the newly updated silhouettes of the Haiku Pouch, To-Go Bag and Jaunt at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, Utah January 19-22, 2012.
Drawing inspiration from the delicate, yet powerful beauty of Asian-inspired flowers, designer and founder Sharon Eisenhauer has created three new staples to her already impressively thoughtful line of bags and accessories.
The GYM/WEEKENDER bag (MSRP $159) was created with transport in mind. It will take you seamlessly from weekdays at the gym into an extended weekend rendezvous with enough room for all of the necessities. The large interior compartment is lined with a single zip pocket and two stretch pockets for keeping toiletries, your ipad or snacks in check. There is a side entry compartment to separate shoes, three exterior slip pockets for magazines (or your umbrella), and a front sleeve for your yoga mat or jacket. The Weekender is fitted with a roll-aboard handle slip for maneuvering thorough the airport and it includes short wrapped handles and a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap.
The HANDLE BAR TOTE (MSRP $97) is the perfect assistant for your 2-wheeled adventures. It straps onto your bicycle handlebar to carry your iPad (in a padded zip compartment) as well as your other daily must-haves. It also has short and long detachable straps for hand carrying or wearing cross body. Two removable Velcro tabs easily attach the Handle Bar Tote to your bicycle’s handlebars and the internal key fob attachment and metal D-ring can circle your bike’s handlebar stem for added security on the road.
The Haiku SLING BAG (MSRP $82) is a small profile bag with limitless possibilities. The Sling Bag has five zip security pockets to hold your wallet, iphone, camera, lipstick, a roomy center compartment for everything else and is comfortably compatible for wear over the left or right shoulders.
