SCHILLER PARK, Ill., Dec. 17, 2008 – Building on the success of its inaugural clinic held in Atlanta in March 2008, Hammer Strength announced it has extended its series of Hammer Strength Clinics for spring 2009. The six national strength and conditioning clinics offer coaches and other attendees ground-breaking training methods and techniques presented by top strength and conditioning coaches in the industry today.
Each two-day clinic will feature leading coaches from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Big East Conference, Big Ten Conference, Division II Football (DII), Gateway Conference, Ivy League Conference, Mountain West Conference, National Football League (NFL) and the South Eastern Conference who will break down their proven methods, answer questions and share ideas on building a successful program.
“These clinics will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn best practices from top coaches in the industry,” said John Stransky, president of Life Fitness. “We hope attendees use what they learn to develop the potential of their individual players and strengthen their teams.”
Clinic speakers include: Bob Medina, strength and conditioning coach for the Portland Trail Blazers; Mike Clark, head strength coach for the Seattle Seahawks; Shannon Turley, head strength and conditioning coach for Stanford University; Mark Uyeyama, assistant strength and conditioning coach for the San Francisco 49ers; John Sisk, director of speed, strength and conditioning at Vanderbilt University; and Jason Gallucci, head strength coach for Princeton University.
Registration for the strength and conditioning clinics includes seminars, a round table discussion, social dinner, breakfast and lunch, and a gift bag with an official clinic t-shirt and a set of clinic-specific DVDs for later use as a reference tool.
The 2009 Hammer Strength Clinic schedule is as follows: San Antonio, Feb. 6 – 7; Chattanooga, Tenn., Feb. 27 – 28; Seattle, Mar. 6 – 7; Cleveland, Mar. 13 – 14; Montclair, N.J., Mar. 13 – 14; and Chicago, Mar. 20 – 21.
“The Hammer Strength Clinic was one of the most informative and well-rounded clinics at which I have ever had the privilege of speaking,” said Michael Doscher, head strength and conditioning coach at Valdosta State University. “The pool of presenters and knowledge of the audience made it a great learning experience for all who attended.”
Hammer Strength introduced its revised clinic concept in 2008; 78 attendees participated in the inaugural event in Atlanta.
