Hayter Communications Names Martin Maisonpierre as Business Director

Seattle, WA (June 01, 2017) Hayter Communications, one of North America’s most recognized active lifestyle communications agencies, announced today Martin Maisonpierre as business director. HayterComm founded in 2001, now part of the Williams Helde family, represents a number of the top winter sports, outdoor recreation, tech, travel and fitness brands including Helly Hansen, the K2 family of brands, Sony, Danner Boots, along with Mountain Safety Research (MSR), Therm-a-Rest, Lululemon, Wagner Custom Skis, uvex, and others.
In his new position, Maisonpierre will manage the incomparable HayterComm team while overseeing day-to-day agency business. Furthermore, he will work in tandem with Marc Williams, president, Williams Helde, and Ryan Hayter, president and founder, HayterComm, to integrate the two agencies, expand the overall suite of HayterComm capabilities, and work on new business opportunities. Maisonpierre will report dually to Hayter and Williams and be located in the Seattle office of Williams Helde.

“Martin is a rare breed in our industry who has logged time with New York agencies and thousands of miles in the backcountry,” Hayter said. “He bridges the big media, digital and Active Explorer worlds like no one I’ve ever known. He will be instrumental in growing our business on the corporate media relations and public affairs side in addition to supporting our consumer products division.”
Prior to joining HayterComm, Maisonpierre acted as the communications director for Cascade Designs, overseeing media relations, government and public affairs, and internal communications responsibilities for Cascade and its suite of brands including MSR, Therm-a-Rest, Platypus, SealLine, and PackTowl. Before to moving to the Emerald City, Maisonpierre spent time working in New York City working with Edelman, the global communications agency, and R/GA, the global digital marketing agency. In a past life, he worked as a safari guide in Namibia and first mate on luxury yachts.
Maisonpierre is an avid outdoorsman spending much of his free time exploring the pacific northwest by foot, skis, and boat. He prides himself on using and abusing all gear made and designed by the HayterComm clients.
