Revant Optics, a Portland, Ore.-based manufacturer and seller of premium replacement lenses for all sunglass and prescription eyewear this week named Hayter Communications as its agency of record. HayterComm was selected for the agency’s deep roots in the eyewear market and active lifestyle industry.
Revant manufactures and sells premium replacement lenses for any brand of sunglasses and RX frames, offering more than 60,000 skus that complement Oakley, Spy, Smith, Ray-Ban, Maui Jim and more. An eight-year-old direct-to-consumer business, Revant has experienced rapid growth by offering superior quality replacement lenses at a better value, supported by a commitment to customer service previously unseen in the eyewear market.
The unique business was established by founder Jason Bolt when he crashed his mountain bike, scratching the lenses on his favorite sunglasses. After learning that replacement lenses weren’t available, he researched where the lenses were made and ordered the minimum amount of 200 sets. He sold the remaining lenses and Revant was born. Today Revant engineers and tests its own lenses through the industry’s most advanced and innovative processes at the company’s manufacturing facility in Portland. A direct-to-consumer approach allows the company to keep prices approachable while investing in new technology and offering premium products that are guaranteed to fit.
HayterComm will drive publicity around Revant’s made-in-USA replacement lens business as well as product category expansions.
