Head to the trails with Teva Mountain Running Club

Goleta, CA (April 3, 2006) – Leading outdoor footwear brand Teva (a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation NASDAQ: DECK) takes one step further in the trail running category with the initiation of a trail specific running club.

The Teva Mountain Running Club strives to create a community of trail runners seeking access to the latest Teva product offerings, training tips, trail racing schedules and trail locations. Club members will receive special promotional opportunities from Teva and be the first to test new product launched into the market.

Once a member of the Teva Mountain Running Club, members can get involved in a forum to exchange trail running stories and experiences. The site (www.teva.com/gorun) also offers numerous training tips and techniques for use on and off the trails with an on-line blog hosted by Teva Trail Running Ambassador Adam Chase.

Raised in Boulder, Colorado, Adam thrives on endurance sports in the mountains. In his 20+ years of endurance competition, he’s run the distance of a marathon or more at least 100 times, mostly on hilly trails. He ran and did triathlons during college and law school and then jumped into ultramarathons and snowshoe racing, which led to adventure racing. Adam has won more than 20 ultramarathons, is the captain and manager of Team Atlas Snow-Shoe Company and has been on many sponsored running and adventure racing teams with which he’s traveled all over the world to compete.
