HealthStyles “Gives the Gift of Fitness” in 2011
HealthStyles employees found giving just as rewarding as receiving this Christmas, when they were able to donate equipment to create a fitness room for the Cope Boys and Girls Club of Denver.

HealthStyles Exercise Equipment continues their Give The Gift Of Fitness Campaign for the 2011 Christmas Season. They have been encouraging their customers to give health and fitness gifts to their friends and loved ones throughout the Holiday Season, and with a portion of the profits from those sales, HealthStyles is contributing exercise equipment for the Cope Center Fitness Room.
They have formed a partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Denver for the 2011 Holiday Season and beyond. The William E Cope Clubhouse located at 8th and Inca Street was in need of a serious facelift in their weight room. The kids at the Center use the weight room to train for their team sports, and to learn about strength and fitness conditioning. The existing equipment was outdated and in some cases dangerous. HealthStyles committed to help re-create the Fitness Room at the Cope Clubhouse into a user friendly, functional space.
“It’s great to be able to give back to the communityâ€, says Dave Sheriff, co-owner of HealthStyles Exerciser Equipment. “What makes it extra special for Jeanne and I, is being personally involved in the process along with our employees, so that we can see the evolution of the fitness room and experience firsthand what it means to the kids who use this place (the Cope Center) as their home away from homeâ€.
HealthStyles has been working with Julio Flores, the Club Director, to determine how to maximize the small fitness room space. The first step was to determine what equipment is on the Club’s “wish list†that HealthStyles could provide in new, or like new, condition.
The equipment in the existing room was cleared out by HealthStyles volunteers on Saturday, November 19th . Then on Wednesday, December 6th, Healthstyles began installing the refurbished equipment, including a Hoist 4-Stack gym that includes bench press, lat pulldown and leg press stations. They also delivered a refurbished Nautilus commercial elliptical. There are still several items on the wish list including a treadmill, assorted dumbbells, and numerous other accessories that will be delivered to complete the fit-out, hopefully before this Holiday Season ends!
