Heliconia Launches Kayak Fishing: Game On Movie

Heliconia is excited to announce the much anticipated release of the ExOfficio presents Kayak Fishing: Game On movie. The DVD is now available in outdoor stores around North America, or it can be purchased directly from the official movie website, www.kayakfishingmovie.com. The movie follows renowned big game kayak angler Jim Sammons around North America on the kayak fishing adventure of a lifetime.

Although the depth of the film makes it much more than an ‘extreme’ kayak fishing movie, there were more than a few extreme adventures involved. You’ll see the first-ever kayak fishing attempt in the shark infested and crowded waters of Florida’s legendary Boca Grande pass, as well as a 5-hour battle with a 300-lb blue marlin that tows the kayaker 11 miles. You’ll also witness an angry 40” muskie hooked to the hand of an unlucky kayak angler, and Jim’s near drowning experience.

“Nothing gets me more motivated to go skiing or paddling than watching the latest action film, and so we wanted to do the same thing for kayak fishing,” explains Ken, “The goal of this project was to create a film that would excite the kayak anglers out there, while at the same time inspiring new anglers to try kayak fishing.”

A short, film festival version of the film is currently being shown during the Reel Paddling Film Festivals taking place across North America this year. Special showings of the movie are also taking place through kayak fishing clubs and retailers around the world.
