Helly Hansen’s Ekolabâ„¢ Sportswear Collection proves green is still sexy with its newest eco-friendly pieces for Spring 2010.

The Helly Hansen’s Ekolabâ„¢ R&D Project is a test lab where company researchers advance environmentally conscious design and create distribution alternatives to reduce Helly Hansen’s environmental footprint. All jackets, pants, mid layers and casual apparel in the collection must adhere to the brand’s strict quality and performance guidelines in order to be included.

The new Ekolab™ Recycler Jacket is made with a waterproof, breathable hard-shell fabric entirely composed of recycled plastic bottles. And, as an added bonus, the professional-grade Helly Tech® XP jacket can be recycled at the end of its extended lifetime. The waterproof breathable Ekolab™ Recycler Pants protect the lower extremities.

The women’s BC Jumpsuit is an organic cotton one-piece for fashion-savvy women looking to channel their inner femme fatale in a sexy, 70s-inspired jumpsuit.

Men can protect their valuables from the elements in the BC Rain Jacket’s two oversized front pockets. Its Helly Tech® XP waterproof, breathable material features integrated, invisible venting to help regulate body heat when navigating urban environments.

Partner the men’s casual, durable BC Chinos with the 100 percent organic cotton BC SS for summer day adventures. The men’s comfy, eco-conscious BC Hoodie features a charming herringbone design and is colored with eco-friendly dyes.
