(Carbondale, CO) Montrail’s Run Like a Girl Series will benefit the HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation. Four races will be held May – September, 2008. A women-only trail race aimed to attract urban women begins in Virginia, empowering and inspiring women across the country to Run Like A Girl. All proceeds will benefit the HERA Foundation for ovarian cancer research and awareness initiatives.

Estimated to have more than 6,000 families and spectators, the races will reach over 2 million people. The entry fee is $30. Online registration at www.active.com. For more information on the event, visit www.montrail.com/runlikeagirl.

The first of these 8K-trail races begins on May 4th in Richmond, VA. This non-ultra, urban trail run is for experienced trail runners and newcomers alike. From Richmond, the event travels to Los Angeles, CA on June 21st; Portland, OR on July 13th; and Boston, MA on September 7th and is open to all ages and abilities.

“We found HERA to be the ideal cause to be the beneficiary of our all-women’s trail running races,” says Paul Curran, Montrail Marketing Manager. “As a company, we are committed to improving women’s health through outdoor activity. We support HERA’s mission to stop the loss of women and girls from ovarian cancer.”

Montrail has been a long-time supporter of the HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation. With the Run Like A Girl partnership, Montrail becomes HERA’s first Visionary Sponsor. This underscores their commitment to creating better lives for women of all ages.
