Portland, OR (June 16, 2014) – Hi-Tec Sports introduces their new Spring ’15 hiking line. Created to meet the desires of consumers who enjoy the great outdoors, the new hiking line encompasses qualities and technologies designed for the everyday hiker, focusing on design, accessibility and performance.

With four decades of hiking and design experience, Hi-Tec knows performance and how to build lightweight hiking boots with all the essentials for a day of fun. Altitude Lite i WP (Men’s, Women’s, Kids)
The distinctive look of the Altitude Lite combines waterproof suede and nylon mesh in a durable, breathable and comfortable upper. Suitable for the toughest day hike, the Dri-Tec waterproof, breathable membrane keeps feet dry from inside and outside the boot, while a nylon shank provides support for uneven terrain. i-shield technology repels dirt and water and an OrthoLite® sockliner delivers superior cushioning. A Ghille lacing system snugs down securely for uphill and downhill foot hold. Fashionable color pops and outdoor styling in two colorways for each men and women, and three colors for kids.

Borah Peak i WP (Men’s)
The Borah Peak is a US-designed boot, built specifically for the American end user. Made with waterproof suede and abrasion resistant upper for the most challenging environments, the Dri-Tec waterproof and breathable membrane keep feet dry while the nylon fork shank provides stability without adding weight. An OrthoLite® sockliner delivers superior cushioning on top of a super rugged MDT rubber outsole, improving grip and durability. Available in three colors.
