Tens of millions of global ski fans will now be seeing the familiar High Sierra logo each weekend. High Sierra Sport Company recently announced that as part of its agreement with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA), the national governing body for Olympic skiing and snowboarding, the High Sierra logo will appear on U.S. Ski Team uniforms through 2019 including the Alpine, Cross Country, Freestyle and Nordic Combined Teams. Over 30 million global TV viewers watch the teams in action each weekend during the World Cup ski season.

“Our new U.S. Ski Team marketing effort positions High Sierra as a major industry supplier that is now side-by-side with other major global brands,” said High Sierra President and CEO Hank Bernbaum.”We believe this is what our customers have been asking for and with our long-time support of the Teams, USSA brands have continued to increase the value and recognition of our product lines globally.”

The commercial markings on the uniforms are the primary visible advertising opportunities for the Team’s global brand sponsors as well as competition suit manufacturers like Spyder and Columbia and other major partners. The U.S. Ski Team uniforms are worn in competition, training and at media events by athletes, coaches, and athletics staff.

“High Sierra has a great understanding of the power of our brands,” said USSA President and CEO Bill Marolt. “The new exposure on our U.S. Ski Team uniforms will bring an additional value to the High Sierra brand. It’s especially important to us to have a leading industry company see that value at a time when our athletes in every sport are capturing global attention with their athletic success.”

Over 30 million global viewers each weekend tune-in to the International Ski Federation’s Audi FIS Alpine World Cup to watch stars like Lindsey Vonn, Julia Mancuso, Bode Miller and Ted Ligety, as well as World Cups in other ski sports. This past season U.S. skiers won eight season-long World Cup titles.

High Sierra currently supplies all categories of bags to the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding, and U.S. Freeskiing programs. High Sierra bags are currently available at ski shops and luggage stores nationwide as well as online at shop.usskiteam.com. In addition to its licensed product line, the Team’s logo continues to appear on hang tags of all products in High Sierra’s 28 different product lines.

The U.S. Ski Team and industry trade association Snowsports Industries America recently recognized High Sierra as its supplier of the year with the annual Doc desRoches Award presented at its annual trade show this past January in Denver.
