VERNON HILLS, IL (March 3, 2008) – High Sierra Sport Company is honored to sponsor the Annual Janss Pro Am Classic by providing 265 boot bags. Janss Pro Am Classic is one of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation’s biggest fundraisers event. The Janss Pro Am Classic will take place on March 6-8, 2008 at Sun Valley, Idaho.
This year’s theme will be “Bands on The Run”. Each pro-am team–made up of one pro and four amateurs–will represent a music band. The competition will include High Sierra’s very own Vice President of Sales – Sporting Goods Division, Rand Whitney, as well as skiers and snowboarders of varied abilities, ranging from recreational enthusiasts to professionals.
“It’s exciting to support the local ski and snowboard programs as well as participate in the race,†said Rand Whitney, vice president of sales – Sporting Goods Division for High Sierra Sport Company. “This is a fun event, for a good cause and we are proud to support the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation.â€
The weekend long event includes an opening celebration cocktail party at Michel’s Christiania, a pre-race practice course and individual instruction from the event’s Pros, apres ski karaoke party and the “over the top” awards celebration dinner and dance in the Limelight Room.
