HIGHGEAR® Supports Everest Rocks in the Fight against Cancer
As reported recently in Billboard Magazine, the Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHS) is planning an October acoustic concert with an all-star line-up at Everest base camp and has teamed up with Highgear. The concert, titled Everest Rocks, will act as both a fundraiser and awareness platform for the LHS Foundation. The foundation’s entire series of events will be documented by both the BBC and acclaimed MTV producer Alex Coletti for future television specials.
Highgear, a leading outdoor equipment brand specializing in altimeter products, has become the official altimeter supplier of the expedition. The trekkers and musicians will train and trek with Highgear’s signature altimeter, heart-rate monitor combo watch, the LOFT. The LHS Foundation contacted Highgear to request sponsorship after researching altimeters available in the marketplace.
“The Highgear Loft is an essential piece of gear both leading up to and during the expedition,†states Shannon Foley, Executive Director of the Love Hope Strength Foundation. “We are so appreciative of Highgear’s support and the quality products they produce.â€

Highgear is working out details to bring a sampling of Everest Rocks to Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. LHS leather wrist cuffs and signature tees will be available for purchase at the Highgear booth 38173 throughout the show. Highgear will also host a reception celebrating Everest Rocks day two of the show from 4 to 6 pm at their booth. All proceeds from the cuff and tee-shirt sales will benefit the LHS Foundation.
