Vancouver, BC – Hillsound—the leading producer of winter traction equipment and gaiters for urban and outdoor enthusiasts—announced the addition of champion ultra-runner Duncan Callahan and female athlete Lindsay Gonzalez to its ambassador program. As leaders in their respective athletic pursuits, both bring a notable level of excellence and enthusiasm to the Hillsound team.

Callahan lives in Gunnison, Colorado, and has been leading the champion ultra-running pack for the past seven years. A win at the 2008 Leadville Trail 100 put the ultra runner on the radar and a streak of prominent finishes since has kept him there. Multiple podium finishes and course records have established him as one of the sport’s top names. Career highlights include first place and a course record at the 2012 Grand Mesa 50 Mile, first place at the 2012 Spring Desert Ultra 50 Mile, first place and a course record at the 2011 Sun Mountain 50 Mile, second place at the 2010 Grand Teton 100 Mile, and first place and a course record at the 2010 Silver Rush 50 Mile.

“Hillsound’s products give me the confidence I need to keep running during the winter months no matter what the weather conditions entail,” said Callahan.

Like Callahan, Gonzales also resides in Colorado where she spends her time trail running, snowboarding, rock climbing, stand up paddle boarding and teaching yoga. As an Oakley Women’s ambassador and a former Roxy Snowboards athlete, Gonzalez can typically be found outside exploring her home mountains, lakes and rivers.

“I’ve been on some pretty gnarly hikes in Hillsound’s micro-crampons and was immediately sold that they are the greatest addition to my winter gear line-up,” said Gonzalez.

“We are thrilled that our products are helping Lindsay and Duncan improve their training during winter months in addition to helping them gain access to more terrain in their area mountains,” said Hillsound Marketing Director Jessica Greinke. “Lindsay and Duncan embody the love of sport and passionate pursuit of adventure that defines them as athletes and, more importantly, sets them apart. We’re honored and excited to have both joining the team.”
