May 26, 2011 – (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) – Honey Stinger, the leading manufacturer of honey-based nutritional products, has been named an Official Feed Zone Partner of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, August 22-28, 2011. The Colorado-based energy food manufacturer will stock feed zones along the route of the seven-day event with offerings from its diverse line of products, providing competitors with the necessary calories for the grueling 500+ mile course.

“As a company that was born and bred in the Colorado Rockies, we’re excited that the USA Pro Cycling Challenge will showcase Colorado’s superb riding and scenery to the world,” notes Honey Stinger president and co-founder Bill Gamber. “We’re thrilled to help fuel the world’s premier cyclists as they tackle what is sure to be one of the toughest tests of the year.”

“Spectators of this race will see Olympians, World Champions and Tour de France competitors,” said Shawn Hunter, Co-Chairman of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. “What better way to welcome this caliber of athletes and provide needed fuel along the way than with Colorado-based nutritional energy foods by Honey Stinger.”

Honey Stinger will provide energy food and food bags for each feed zone along the route, powering the race’s elite competitors with organic, honey-based nutrition. In addition, Honey Stinger will supply teams visiting from abroad with ample supplies of Honey Stinger product in addition to maintaining a daily presence in the festival area at the race.
