Horizon Fitness Launches Advanced Fitness Group (AFG)

COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. (July 15, 2006) – Horizon Fitness announces the formulation of a highly specialized product development team called the Advanced Fitness Group (AFG). This team is responsible for innovating the company’s Elite Series product offering, which includes high-performance treadmills and ellipticals sold
at specialty fitness dealers. Products endorsed by AFG undergo an extensive product development process,which blends high-end materials with advanced engineering and emerging technologies. This process produces premium-quality treadmills and ellipticals that stand atop the Elite Series product line.

The 2006-’07 retail season marks the inaugural launch of Elite Series products endorsed by this special product development team.

“Our goal with AFG is simple – we want to innovate the category,” said Bob Whip, president of Horizon Fitness. “AFG allows us to experiment with our Elite Series product line to come up with new technologies and products that don’t exist in the marketplace. We want AFG to be the birthplace for next-generation Elite Series products that push the boundaries of design, ergonomics and performance.”

This September, Horizon Fitness will introduce three Elite Series products endorsed by AFG, including the T4 AFG and T6 AFG non-folding treadmills, as well as the E6 AFG elliptical trainer.
