Horny Toad Turbo Charges SS12 with High Performance Apparel

Santa Barbara, CA – July 27, 2011 – Horny Toad, the Santa Barbara based lifestyle apparel company that takes fun seriously, is getting serious about performance for SS12. At the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, Horny Toad will unveil its first collection of tops featuring a blend of Drirelease® and eco-friendly fibers. Embedded in the fiber so it won’t wash out, Drirelease wicks moisture, dries in a flash and neutralizes odors.

“The choice of materials is where our design process begins,” said Kate Larramendy, Design Director, Horny Toad. “For the spring season, we are blending Drirelease with Tencel® for women and with organic cotton for men to create soft and supple fabrics that won’t let you down. While these tops are high performance in function, they feature Horny Toad’s signature ease and versatility to take you from trail to town without missing a beat.”

For women, the Swifty Racerback and Swifty V Tank feature internal shelf bras and details such as drop in pockets, feminine, twisted trim and angled seaming. For a bit more coverage, Horny Toad is offering the Swifty T with v-neck as well as Swifty Zip Hoodie with quarter front zip.

For men, tops are available in both variegated stripes and solids with coverstitch detailing. Short sleeve styles include a classic front pocket tee and the Onrush Polo with three button placket and angled chest pocket. The long sleeve Onrush Crew LS features classic sharkstooth detail at the neck.

To compliment these high performance tops, Horny Toad is introducing Quickdry bottoms. The women’s Wearabout collection blends nylon with a touch of spandex for stretch and features drain and dry mesh pocketing and hidden zipper pockets. Styles include: Wearabout Capri, Wearabout Skort with internal brief and Wearabout Shorts in 5” and 8” lengths. For men, the Eddy shorts in 100% nylon feature dry mesh pocketing and hidden zipper pockets.
