Hot Shirts With a Cool Message

BOZEMAN, Montana – Al Gore would wear these shirts.

“His recent Nobel Prize underscores our message,” says Darwin Design Clothing co-founder Otto Pohl. “We can stop global warming if we maintain a positive attitude.”

Darwin Design unveiled its complete line of pro-environment shirts today in advance of the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market. The much-anticipated latest designs, printed on American-made organic cotton shirts with low-impact water-based dyes, feature a blue whale with the tagline “re-think big” and a sea turtle above the words “live gently.”

“The threat of global warming is actually an opportunity,” says co-founder Anne Sherwood. “We can all make little differences that add up and make our country stronger.”

Darwin Design donates 10% of all proceeds to non-profits that combat global warming.

Based in Bozeman, Montana, the company has created a force for positive thinking about global warming that has resonated with Americans frustrated by the politicized, negative spin surrounding the issue.

“Climate change is an issue we feel passionate about and this is an effective way to spread a global message on a local level,” Pohl says. “Every person out there wearing our shirts becomes a billboard for change.”

Other popular designs feature an African penguin and an Arctic polar bear, each with the tagline “start global cooling,” a green tree frog above the phrase “be green,” and a Bengal tiger with “sustainable is attainable.”

Darwin Design shirts are designed, printed, and manufactured in the United States.
