LOS ANGELES – Sept. 24, 2019 – Every movement begins with an individual. Someone who started something bigger than themselves with the seed of an idea. Someone who brought that idea to fruition and built a community, a movement, a foundation from the ground up. Hyland’s Powered is seeking these ‘Builders’ to join Team Hyland’s. The Hyland’s 2020 Boston Marathon team will be composed of individuals who have created something impactful in their community, big or small, that helps their fellow humans, schools, pets, animals, the environment – you name it. In its fifth year as the Official Cramp Relief Sponsor of the Boston Marathon®, Hyland’s* is excited to offer a select group of Builders the experience of a lifetime.

The application process launched on September 23, 2019 and will close at 11:59 PST on October 6, 2019. To be eligible, applicants must be a U.S. resident who have built a community, a movement, or a foundation. Applicants can range from founders to local chapter leaders but must have been the driver of an initiative. Additionally, applicants must have completed a full marathon or longer distance race, at least three half marathons, or another incredible endurance feat within the past 18 months. This distinguished team will be selected and announced on or before December 1.

“This special team will be made up of founders. Local chapter leaders. Change makers. Movement leaders,” states Hyland’s Brand Director, Lisa Shapiro. “If you built a community out of nothing more than a need and a vision, if you are ready to commit to the promise and challenge of Boston, we encourage you to share your story and apply!”

The 124th running of the Boston Marathon will take place on April 20, 2020. Once selected, each team member’s unique training experience and personal journey will be documented as part of the Hyland’s Powered campaign. To learn more and cheer them on, follow Powered by Hyland’s on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Apply at hylands.com/Boston.

“Hyland’s is proud to assemble a team of incredibly deserving runners each year, providing them with a weekend full of exclusive team events, running gear, our pain relief and recovery products, and so much more!” states Shapiro. “This program is our unique way of saying thank you to people that make a difference.”
