For 2016, Icebug has renewed its commitment to being the footwear leader in Obstacle Course Racing, Orienteering and Trail Running, booming running sports with passionate participants. These niche sports perfectly align with the Icebug mission to inspire people to get outside no matter the weather and terrain, to forget the pavement and see where the trail leads.
The Off Trail collection features Icebug’s studded OLX technology with carbide steel tipped studs, 6-7 times harder than normal steel, and virtually impossible to wear out. The Fixed Studs featured in the spring/summer collection are always exposed and have the ability to grip whatever surface comes their way. With Fixed Studs, it’s possible to make the sole relatively thin which saves weight and improves the ground control. No obstacle will stand in your way when wearing Icebug OLX.
Spirit 6 OLX
Being on top of the World Orienteering Championships podium offers no rest, at least not to stay at top. The same goes for the Spirit, as Icebug constantly looks for ways to improve this benchmark shoe. The upper is in a new super strong material reinforced with Kevlar, with a very low weight, but even smoother and more durable than before! The outsole provides outstanding grip, with innovative diagonal ridge pattern, enhanced with 14-integrated OLX carbide tip studs. Available in men’s eclipse/ ocean in sizes 7-13 and in women’s grape/camellia in sizes 5.5-10.5. MSRP $169.95
Zeal 2 OLX
The Zeal is a proven winner on the trail and OCR course. New for 2016, the upper material has been updated to a new Kevlar material that is both softer and more durable. But the true innovation is the midsole construction. Zeal provides a stable but soft heel grip, an impossible combo made possible through the molded midsole cradle on the interior side of the shoe. For even more traction, the OLX version of the Zeal has 16-fixed carbide tip steel studs for traction everywhere. Available in men’s ocean/papaya in sizes 7-13 and in women’s tulip/poison in sizes 5.5-10.5. MSRP $169.95.
