Icebug Signs Professional Obstacle Course Racer, Ryan Atkins, to Footwear Sponsorship

BELLINGHAM, Wash. (May 13th, 2015) –Icebug USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Icebug AB headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, one of the fastest growing global footwear companies in the trail and off-trail categories, announced today a formal sponsorship with Ryan Atkins, one of the best Obstacle Course Racers in the world.

Atkins comes from a background of power and balance sports such as unicycling, mountain biking, and trail running, and his overall fitness made for a quick transition into Obstacle Course Racing (OCR), where he won the World’s Toughest Mudder in 2013, and then repeated in 2014. He went on to place second at the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships as well as the Spartan Race World Champs, and has won numerous other OCR events in the last year. Atkins currently races for Team Battlefrog, where he competes in obstacle course races, designed and inspired by Navy SEALs.
