Industrial Revolution Brings Ground-Breaking Portable Fuel Cell Charger to US

Seattle, WA – Industrial Revolution has partnered with Swedish company myFC to distribute the myFC PowerTrekk™, a cutting-edge portable fuel cell charger, in the US. myFC PowerTrekk charges smart phones, cameras and other USB-compatible devices in minutes through a clean-energy process triggered by ordinary water. Because it never needs to be plugged in to recharge, it’s ideal for use in off-the-grid locations or during power outages or weather emergencies.
The myFC PowerTrekk is fueled with power-generating “pucks.” Water is poured into a section of the puck to activate the clean-energy hydrogen conversion process, which produces no harmful emissions. Within minutes, the unit is ready to produce power for USB-charged devices – smart phones can be powered up from zero to full charge just as quickly as they would be if plugged into an outlet. A single puck charges the myFC PowerTrekk for approximately 2.5-3 hours.
The myFC PowerTrekk also includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which can be initially charged through an outlet, a USB computer port or the unit’s fuel cell with the use of a puck. It comes with cables fitted with three different tips: micro, mini-USB and an Apple compatible tip. myFC PowerTrekk’s MSRP is $229.99. A three-pack of pucks has an MSRP of $12.99.
For those attending the Summer Outdoor Retailer Trade Show, held July 31-August 2 in Salt Lake City, Industrial Revolution will demonstrate the use of the myFC PowerTrekk at booth #40 at 1:00 pm on Days 1, 2 and 3 of the show. A myFC PowerTrekk unit will be given away at each demonstration and participants must be present to win.
