Broz brings over 20 years of ski and snowboard manufacturing experience to G3
VANCOUVER, B.C. (October 20, 2014) – G3, the independent, industry-leading manufacturer of backcountry skis, splitboards, bindings and ski accessories, has hired ski and snowboard industry veteran Jason Broz to manage the design and manufacturing of its splitboard product line. G3 has seen great success with its Black Sheep Splitboard line and is looking to Broz to build on that momentum. With over twenty years of work in ski and snowboard manufacturing, including research, development, design and production, Broz was hired to take G3’s splitboard products to the next level.
“Hiring Jason to manage the splitboard line was an obvious and natural decision for us based on his many years of diverse experience in the industry, as well as the fact that he is a wonderful ambassador for the sport and for the brand,” said Gord Bailey, G3’s VP of Marketing. “He will be an integral part of our design team and his extensive knowledge about splitboard design and the snowboarding industry is already proving to be incredibly valuable.”
Broz will be working with G3 designers Cameron Chute and Sigi Rumpfhuber on both production and design including shaping, tooling, material sourcing, R&D, production oversight, QC and on-snow testing. He previously held a position as the Head of R&D and Production at Endeavor Snowboards, where he and his team won the ISPO innovation award for their Seamless Sidewall Technology. Broz’s extensive manufacturing experience has led him to work with factories in Canada, USA, Spain, Austria, Russia, Taiwan and China, making him well-positioned to oversee G3’s splitboard product line from the design process all the way through to production.
“I am very excited to work with an incredible group of designers and such an innovative brand,” said Broz. “There are some great opportunities to build on the success of the current Black Sheep splitboard line. I am already working with Sigi to develop new technologies, constructions and production techniques that will take G3 to the next level of performance, quality and durability.”
