January 22, 2013 – VANCOUVER, BC: Shared food, shared lives is an exploration of food through stories and recipes that emphasizes the value of eating well, eating locally, and the shared experiences that come from eating together.

Anna Brones, Foodie Underground founder, fuses the everyday with the special to write articles on creating memorable experiences from food.

According to Innate food enthusiast and managing director Greg Foweraker, “Whenever we ask Anna to test some of our food or drink storage designs, she not only gives us great feedback, but invariably comes back with a recipe suited for the product that we just gave her. When we approached her about writing a series to coincide with the introduction of our Tiffin Vacuum Food Containers, she kindly agreed.”

“Food is what sustains us. On the trail it’s what keeps us going; the fuel that we need to continue on. But there is also the emotional element to food. It feeds our soul just as much as our stomachs. The act of eating isn’t just a moment of physical sustenance, it brings us together with those around us, known or unknown; food is often the focal point of a moment shared together. Which is why I always pack in something good to eat,” commented Anna Brones, of Foodie Underground

Continued Brones, “Being in the outdoors doesn’t mean you should count on energy bars alone: good food on the trail tends to make the adventure just a little sweeter.”
