SAN DIEGO, CA – April 4, 2018

After two years of development and a successful kickstarter campaign, SAOLA Shoes is proud to announce they are officially open for business. Designed with organic and recycled materials, every pair of SAOLAs will give 3% back to environmental conservation projects. Added bonus: the customer gets to choose which project they want their purchase to support.
SUSTAINABLE KICKS
Made with sustainable materials like recycled plastic bottles (PET), cork, and organic cotton, SAOLA Shoes is paving the way for eco-friendly manufacturing in casual footwear.
“As a lover of the outdoors, I spent years struggling to find a brand of shoes for everyday life that matched my values,” explains SAOLA founder, Guillaume Linossier. “There are plenty of cool looking shoes out there, but not very many from brands with a sustainability commitment. I felt that by manufacturing smarter and using our business to support conservation efforts, we could really make an impact.”
KICK BACK
Because there is an immediate need for more support to environmental conservation efforts, SAOLA customers will have the option to choose one of three pre-selected projects supporting land, water, and animal conservation that 3% of their purchase will support. This season’s planet partners:
ONE TREE PLANTED – funds raised will go towards One Tree’s Oregon reforestation project—$1.
SAVE THE TURTLES – helps pay the salaries of Costa Rican village patrollers who protect turtles from poachers.
SURFRIDER EU – supports Surfrider’s beach cleanup program in Europe. $1 = 50 square feet of beach cleaned.
DISTRIBUTION
SAOLA Shoes will be available to purchase on saolashoes.com and through select retail partners. Wholesale distribution is focused on brick and mortar and online outdoor retailers.
