ISIS® Completes Full Transition to Boulder; Finalizes Team

Boulder, CO – ISIS, leading women’s active outdoor apparel brand, has completed their move to reside along with American Rec’s other leading outdoor industry-based brands in Boulder, Colorado. The central Boulder location currently houses American Rec’s product development, marketing, and management team, thus providing ISIS with a full range of new resources and benefits. The transition also correlates with changes to American Rec’s sales and management structure including delineation of the company’s apparel (ISIS, Sierra Designs Apparel and Royal Robbins) and the equipment brands (Kelty, Sierra Designs Equipment, and Slumberjack) for heightened focus and strategic direction.
“Having ISIS in Boulder with full access to an efficient display of resources provides tremendous opportunity for growth and success for the women’s specific brand,” notes Bob Orlando, CEO of American Rec Apparel Division.
American Rec is also welcoming Kelly Gorder as ISIS’ new Brand Vice President. Gorder, formerly of SmartWool, brings an immense amount of well-rounded experience to the brand. With her extended background as a product and merchandise manager to her work as Director of Sales and key accounts, Gorder’s experience paired with American Rec’s resources will help unify and grow the women’s specific brand in the outdoor channels and beyond.
“ISIS was founded and operates with immense vision and passion for creating a fantastic collection of women’s apparel,” notes Gorder. “Now, with the ability to utilize more available resources and have Boulder as the ideal testing ground for the active, outdoor woman, ISIS will have the means to expand and operate even more efficiently.”
Completing the full transition and establishing an accomplished team, American Rec has also appointed Gwyn Benedict as National Sales Manager and Sue Timbo as Director of Marketing.
The transition is married with the debut of the new Spring ’12 collection which includes fresh colorways, new technical fabrics, and innovative product updates. The Spring ’12 collection will also include the highly anticipated release of ISIS’ new engineered bras that will provide high-impact support for C and D+ cup sizes. The full collection will be available for viewing at the Outdoor Retailer tradeshow.
