The organizers of ispo summer 06 are continuing to bet on innovations and new products for its upcoming trade show at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre July 16-18, 2006.
A new area within outdoor_ispo is “Wearable Technology,” or WT, which strives to establish a community between sports fashion, ITK and the high-tech industries with the goal of bridging the gap between these industry sectors to promote innovative products.
Numerous product innovations have already been presented at ispo in the past, which combine technical innovations and clothing or backpacks. These innovative and modern products from very different areas such as sports and lifestyle will be presented at a booth with 250 sq. m. space and highlighted to visitors in extremely modern fashion shows twice daily. The product range of the exhibited products extends from backpacks with solar cells to functional jackets and gloves with integrated Mp3 players and even portable playstations. Not only products that are already available in retails sales will be shown, but also absolute novelties and real innovations.
The technology industry can benefit from the fact that ispo is held twice annually in summer and winter, because development cycles in this industry are very fast. Consequently, the Wearable Technology topic will become an integral component of ispo summer and ispo winter. The project is being managed by Wesslinger Navispace AG. A separate Internet page will provide additional information at www.wearable-technologies.de soon.
