After 30 years with the international sports trade fair ispo, Jürgen Lohrberg is retiring on May 31, 2006.

He became project manager at the Munich Messe- und Ausstellungs GmbH in 1969. The Munich Trade Fair was just five years old at that time and still working to receive recognition as an international trade fair center. Mr. Lohrberg was decisively involved during those founding years in creating structures and elements for the later trade fair successes. He was involved from the start of his work at Messe München in building up and carrying out many trade fair projects in the consumer and investment goods area and molded their strategic orientation decisively. He was promoted to Managing Director of Consumer Goods Trade Fairs in 1999.

He achieved his high degree of recognition in international trade fair circles especially with his professional management of the trade fair projects ispo winter (since 1977), ispo summer (since 1979), inhorgenta europe (since 1974), Golf Europe (since 1993) and Fairway (since 1995). Mr. Lohrberg worked on a total of 153 trade fairs and exhibitions in his 37-year trade fair career.

Tobias Gröber will be his successor as Business Division Manager effective June 1, 2006 and consequently be responsible for the trade fairs of the ispo Group, which include ispo winter, ispo summer, ispo china, ispo Russia as well as Golf Europe and Fairway as of recently, i.e., all sports trade fairs of Messe München International in Germany and abroad.

Project Manager of ispo china is Stefan Reschke as previously, and Mick Wallace is Project Manager of ispo Russia. Tobias Gröber is directly responsible for operations at ispo summer and ispo winter in collaboration with the Community Managers.

Manfred Wutzlhofer, Chief Executive Officer of Messe München GmbH and spokesperson of the corporate group Messe München International, remains responsible for executive management of this business division.

Manfred Wutzlhofer will continue to manage inhorgenta europe with support from Joachim Heusler, Deputy Managing Director, and Armin Wittmann as Project Manager.
