Following an incredibly succesful Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, the Metanoia Team is excited to announce the launch of a new website loaded with new videos, photos, and information about legendary alpinist Jeff Lowe and his upcoming film.
Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia explores extraordinary alpine accomplishments, from mountain top to wheelchair. Starting out as one of the world’s youngest alpinists, Jeff Lowe has amassed a lifetime of impressive alpine accomplishments and contributions to the climbing world. He now faces the challenge of life in a wheelchair with the same characteristics and philosophies that won him unprecedented success on the world’s most impressive rock walls and in the great mountain ranges of the world.
Using the Eiger as a backdrop for Jeff Lowe’s life story, the film features footage of American climber Josh Wharton sampling sections of Metanoia, Lowe’s route on the Eiger. For nine harrowing days in the winter of 1991 Jeff pieced together what Men’s Journal called an “unimaginable” route up the very center of the Eiger Norwand. Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia is the story behind a climb—an act of imagination—that has become legendary.
