On November 2 at the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Alberta, Canada, the World Premier of Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia was met with a resounding standing ovation. When Jeff Lowe appeared on the stage for the Q & A, the nearly 1000 person audience was once again on their feet. Signature Jeff Lowe humor dotted the heartwarming Q & A that always involves Jeff’s ipad and Ryan, Jeff’s computerized voice. Additional informative comments came from Director Jim Aikman and Producer, Connie Self. As they left the stage, the packed theater rose to their feet for the third time. Ovations like that have never been seen at Banff before. The after party was wall to wall with friends and fans who praised the film and the Metanoia Team for their efforts. Special thanks to Vasque, Red Wing Shoes, Camelbak, and the Banff Centre who provided transportation and accomodations for the Metanoia Team to go to Banff.

Two weeks later on November 22, at the Kendal Mountain Festival in the United Kingdom, Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia was awarded Best Mountaineering Film. Rarely seen standing ovations were once again the order of the day, first as Jeff Lowe and Connie Self graced the stage as the credits rolled and again as the uplifting Q & A came to an end. Special thanks to Lowe Alpine and the Kendal Mountain Festival who provided transportation and accomodations for Connie and Jeff to travel to the UK for KMF 2014.
