Jetboil Hires New Sales Manager and Expands Board of Directors

Known for its revolutionary cooking systems, Jetboil, Incorporated expands its team with the recent hiring of Mike Curtis as Manager of North American Sales. Mike Curtis, former operations and sales manager for Axis Outdoor, will focus on continuing to grow the Jetboil brand within the core outdoor retail category, expand the brand into new channels of distribution, and help launch the company’s e-commerce initiative targeted for fall 2009. Additionally, Morrie Trautman, founder and long-time principal of Yukon Trading Company based in the Pacific Northwest, has recently been elected to Jetboil’s board of directors.

Trautman joins the Jetboil board of directors, which includes co-founders Dowst and Dwight Aspinwall, as well as industry veteran Jack Gilbert, founder and past president of Mountain Hardwear. Yukon Trading has represented Jetboil in the Northwest since the company’s inception in 2004, partnering in the launch of Jetboil to the outdoor industry.
