WILSONVILLE, Ore. — Joe’s Sports & Outdoor, the Northwest’s largest sporting goods retailer, will host a grand opening celebration at its new store in Nampa, Idaho, on Thursday, May 1, 2008. The store is located at 16740 N Marketplace Blvd.
The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony beginning at 6:50am, where gift cards worth between $5 and $500 will be given to the first 500 customers through the door. The Joe’s Sports & Outdoor Foundation will present checks to local & regional youth non-profit organizations. There will also be clinics by professional fishing guides, product demonstrations, plus other activities throughout the weekend. NASCAR fans will want to come and see Matt Kenseth’s #17 Carhartt Ford Fusion racing car, along with a Carhartt trailer full of displays and games. People can also enter to win a $500 Columbia Sportswear shopping spree.
Joining the celebration is the Joe’s Sports & Outdoor location in nearby Meridian, Idaho, where gift cards worth between $5 and $500 will be given to the first 500 customers through the door beginning at 7:00am Thursday, along with cake and refreshments.

I encourage everyone to come in early Thursday, as there are some especially hot buys available from 7:00am to 11:00am.”
