John Morelli Now Dir. of Biz Dev at Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort
Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort has promoted John Morelli to director of business development. In his new position, Morelli will manage marketing, sales, public relations and special events at the resort.

Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort has promoted John Morelli to director of business development. In his new position, Morelli will manage marketing, sales, public relations and special events at the resort. Previously, he was the patrol director/risk manager at the resort, a position he held since 2009. He will continue to oversee risk management and the ski patrol in his new role. Morelli will also play a key role in the development and execution of the marketing plan surrounding the resort’s $35 million expansion that will take place over the next 10 to 12 years.
“John brings expertise in strategic brand management, marketing and partnership networking to LVSSR along with a lifelong passion for skiing,†says Kevin Stickelman, president and general manager of LVSSR. “He has intimate knowledge of our community of local and visiting skiers, as well as a firm grasp on our vision for the future. His leadership is a huge asset to LVSSR.â€
Morelli is a former design project manager for Plise Development & Construction and a former director of design for Jacobs Consulting Inc. Both firms are in Las Vegas. Morelli is also an adjunct instructor at the Art Institute of Las Vegas, where for four years he’s taught architectural drafting, project management and building systems. He also spent 14 years as an independent residential architect and is licensed by the Nevada State Board of Architecture.
Morelli earned a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from South University in Savannah, Ga., and a bachelor of science in business management from Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nev. He also holds two associate degrees in architectural design and natural sciences from the University of Nevada Reno and Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Calif., respectively.
