French brand continues push into high end US cycling market.
WILLISTON, VT- September 13, 2017
Julbo, the French mountain peformance eyewear brand, announced today the signing of U.S. National Men’s Cyclocross and Pan American Champion, Stephen Hyde to their athlete roster. The thirty-year-old Hyde will wear Julbo in all cyclocross competition and in an expanded mountain bike season beginning in 2018. Hyde began the 2017 -2018 cyclocross season in earnest this past weekend at the Rochester UCI event, the first day of which ended in a three-up sprint which Hyde won. In competition, Hyde will use the Julbo Aero, the model described by Cyclocross Magazine as, “A strong case for the perfect cyclocross sunglasses” due to their REACTIV photochromic lenses. This year’s models feature a contrast-enhancing red tint.
Hyde described the sponsorship with trademark enthusiasm, “I am really looking forward to working with Julbo moving forward. I have wanted to work with a brand that wants to grow and be a part of my process. One that is willing to see change and progression as part of the game and as necessary.
