Springfield, MO – June 1, 2011 – Küat Racks – makers of lightweight, stylish and easy-to-use racks – is reaching out to their neighbors in Joplin, Missouri, which is just a short drive down I-44 from the company’s headquarters. Joplin was recently devastated by a tornado’s direct hit.
Küat has created a new “ünite†t-shirt, which is available through their online store, www.shop.kuatracks.com. Proceeds from the shirt, which retails for $20, will be donated to Convoy of Hope, the nonprofit that is currently distributing tens of thousands of pounds of food, water and supplies in devastated neighborhoods. Küat is donating 100 percent of the purchase price for the first 100 shirts sold, for a total donation of $2000. The company will then donate the net proceeds (about $13 per shirt) for all other “ünite†t-shirt sales.
“These people are our neighbors, so we wanted to do something to help them immediately,†said Luke Kuschmeader, Founder, CEO and President of Küat. “We are “ünited” with them and committed to doing what we can to help them get through this very difficult period.â€
Küat plans to make the “ünite†t-shirt an ongoing fundraiser, with sales proceeds going to other charity programs in the future.
