Vertical Brands Named Global Apparel Licensee
SEATTLE, WA (November 17, 2016) – K2 Sports this week announced that it has licensed Vertical Brands of Shrewsbury, NJ, for worldwide distribution of K2-branded ski and snowboard outerwear and apparel starting Fall 2017.
As part of the agreement, Vertical Brands will oversee apparel design, manufacturing and product sales in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia with the exception of Korea.
“Vertical Brands was an obvious choice for us since they bring a depth of experience in design, sourcing and operations,” said Robert Marcovitch, President of K2 Sports. “This effort will expand K2’s presence in the winter sports market and help to round out our commitment to the industry.”
The strength and longevity of K2 in the winter sports market attracted Vertical Brands to the brand, according to Christopher Neary, CEO of the global supply chain partner that supports multiple brands in the industry.
“With K2 we see an exceptional opportunity of expanding our portfolio of products,” he said. “K2 is a heritage brand that morphed with the times to stay relevant in an ever-changing market, and we look forward to establishing it as a premier apparel product.”
Stay tuned for the head-to-toe launch of what’s to come next winter to K2 dealers across the globe. To see all that K2 Skis and K2 Snowboarding has to offer, please go to www.K2skis.com andwww.K2snowboarding.com.
