SEATTLE (November 19, 2012)- K2 Skates, a global leader in the manufacturing of inline skates, is excited to introduce two new additions to their youth line of inline skates for 2013: the Sk8 Hero Boa® and Charm Boa®. The future generation can now skate with the comfort, performance and style that, until now, was only found in adult skate technology.
The Sk8 Hero Boa and Charm Boa are brother and sister by design and take youth inline skates to the next level of innovation. These skates employ K2’s exclusive Boa Closure System and the K2 Original Softbook™ for “easy on, easy off”, ideal for kids on-the-go. Parents and kids alike will benefit from the new easy to use system as kids are able to get in and out of their skates in under a minute. With a simple turn on the Boa Closure System, kids can evenly adjust the tightness of their skates without feeling any pressure points or worrying about laces getting caught.
Designed with best-in-class specifications, these durable new skates are built to last.In fact, the Sk8 Hero Boa and Charm Boa are sure to outlast the rate at which kids grow, which is why they are adjustable to a range of five full sizes. Simple push button adjustment allows for easy adjustment as children’s feet grow.

About K2 Skates
K2 Skates is the worldwide in-line skate technology leader. The company’s position today began as a concept in 1993 when U.S. National Cross Country team member John Svensson and U.S. Olympic speed skater Tony Meibock approached K2 with a high-performance inline skate design for training in the off season. Both athletes saw beyond stiff plastic hockey-style designs that dominated the market. They worked with K2 engineers to develop a soft and comfortable boot. The K2 design permanently reshaped the inline skate market. K2 Skate offers 23 styles of men’s, women’s and children’s skates for everything from family recreation to professional competition.
