FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (October 8, 2008) – Kahtoola, a leader in performance footwear traction and step-in snowshoes, announce their Tour with Kahtoola for winter 2008-‘09. In conjunction with co-sponsors W.L. Gore & Associates and Inov-8, the Tour with Kahtoola includes seven races and demos at five alpine and Nordic locations beginning in December 2008. The Tour with Kahtoola features competitive and non-competitive snow travel activities including scenic guided hikes, foot races and children’s activities. This is the second year Kahtoola has put on a series of winter events–building on last year’s Kahtoola Snow Series, which introduced over 1,000 outdoor enthusiasts to adventuring on snow.
Kahtoola manufactures and markets the FLIGHTsystem™ and FLIGHTdeck™ TS. These products offer an entirely new way to look at snow travel by allowing users to customize their own footwear with a variety of traction and step-in snowshoe options. W.L. Gore & Associates is best known for its GORE-TEX® fabric that set the standard for outerwear comfort and protection. Inov-8 manufactures lightweight footwear, socks and hydration packs for demanding outdoor pursuits.
At each event, participants will be eligible for free Kahtoola and Inov-8 product demos, race series goodie bags, and raffle prizes. In addition, a portion of event fees and proceeds will be contributed to local charities at each site.
